Meet your coach
Daniel Joelson coaches tennis in Brentwood, Los Angeles, and has built his lessons around one idea: people improve fastest when they're enjoying themselves. Sessions are calm, clear and genuinely fun — one thing to work on at a time, plenty of live ball, and no shouting. Part of Tennis Lessons Los Angeles, a team of ex-professionals, college players and national champions with more than ten years coaching the city.
Whether you're seven years old with a first racquet, a parent picking the game back up, or a junior chasing a team spot, you'll leave the court knowing exactly what got better.

In their words
Our daughter went from hiding behind us to asking when the next lesson is. That's all we wanted.
I hadn't played in fifteen years. Six weeks in I'm holding my own in the Saturday group.
Daniel actually explains why. My serve finally makes sense to me.
On courts across Brentwood and West Los Angeles. When you book, we coordinate the most convenient local court for you — players also travel in from Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Bel Air and Westwood.
More than fine — it's most of my week. Complete beginners get a racquet in hand and a ball over the net in the first session.
Around four, using short racquets and low-compression balls on a smaller court. It looks like play, because at that age it should be.
Court shoes, water and a hat. Bring your own racquet if you have one — you'll play better with gear you know. If you don't own one yet, we provide all the balls and can bring a loaner racquet.
Rates depend on lesson type, group size and court — give me a call or a text and I'll give you a straight answer in a minute.
Yes — through Tennis Lessons Los Angeles we coach right across the city, from Santa Monica and the Palisades to Beverly Hills, Century City and the Valley.
