Tennis coaching on an outdoor court in Brentwood, Los Angeles

Most people who call me haven't played in years, or have never played at all. That's the part of the job I enjoy most — the session where somebody who was sure they'd be hopeless hits twelve in a row and starts grinning.

I teach in Brentwood, Los Angeles, and I've built the whole week around ordinary players: kids with their first racquet, parents who want a Saturday game, juniors trying to make a school team, adults who want an hour that feels like exercise and doesn't feel like a lecture.

I coach as part of Tennis Lessons Los Angeles — a team of ex-tennis professionals, college players, ATP and WTA competitors and national champions, with more than a decade of coaching across the city and 800+ students between us. That depth means that if your game outgrows what a friendly Brentwood hour can give you, there's always a next step available.

My coaching is deliberately uncrowded. One thing to work on at a time. A clear reason why. Then enough live hitting that the change actually sticks before you go home. I'd rather you leave with one solid improvement than five things you half-remember.

Off the court I'm easy to reach — a text usually gets an answer the same day, and I'll always tell you honestly whether a private lesson, a group or cardio tennis is the right place for you to start.

If you've been meaning to get back on court for a while: this is your sign. Text me.
